BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Don’t Build Your 2027 Business Plan Yet
What if, instead of simply setting higher goals for 2027, you had a clear picture of the practice you actually want to build—and a strategy for moving toward it?
In this 45-minute Zoom session, you’ll learn a different approach to business planning: start with where you ultimately want your practice to go, then work backward to determine what needs to happen in 2027.
You’ll walk away with a framework to help you:
Define what you want your practice to look like in 2030 and beyond—including the clients you serve, revenue, team, your role, and how you spend your time.
Identify the clients you actually want to build your practice around, rather than simply accepting growth wherever it comes from.
Determine the potential value of your target market so you can understand what successfully penetrating that market could mean to your practice.
Identify where those prospects can be found and who already has relationships with them, giving you multiple paths into the market instead of relying on a single prospecting strategy.
Clarify what you need to become known for so the right prospects have a reason to choose you.
Work backward from your long-term vision to 2027, giving your annual goals a purpose beyond simply doing more than you did last year.
Turn the plan into specific quarterly, monthly, and weekly activities that can actually move your practice toward your destination.
I’ll also share how I applied this approach in my own financial-planning practice. Drawing on lessons from my aviation background, I learned to think about building a practice much like planning a successful flight: know the destination, develop the flight plan, monitor your progress, and make course corrections along the way.
That process led me to continually refine who I wanted to work with, where I could provide the greatest value, and how I could reach more people like them—ultimately helping me build a $3.5 million-revenue practice.
You won’t spend this session rushing through a worksheet just so you can say you have a 2027 business plan.
You’ll leave with a framework and a series of questions designed to help you intentionally build the practice you want—then make 2027 a deliberate step toward it.
